Britain has many brilliant, pioneering and influential women as designers and champions of design whose lives and work are an immense source of inspiration to young women around the world.

In recognition of this, the British Council’s Art, Architecture & Design department has produced Girls’ World, a poster-set celebrating the achievements of 10 of the UK’s leading women in design. Drawn from across the spectrum of contemporary design - fashion, product, architecture and graphics – these women are photographed next to the work that they have conceived, commissioned or vigorously championed.
