The fourth bi-annual Global Diversity Network Conference has taken place in Sri Lanka and it was a great sucess. For more information please read an article on the conference and reports from the Middle East, China, Europe and North America.

British Council UK: International Equality and Diversity Conference, Exploring Good Practice
The International Equality and Diversity Conference, organised by the British Council Diversity Unit, in partnership with ORC Worldwide, on Tuesday 26th February 2008 was hailed as a huge success by all involved. The event, which was held at Spring Gardens, was attended by around 90 people including 30 British Council colleagues representing 8 of the 12 regions.

British Council China: Diversity Business Networking Event
The third Diversity Business Networking Event on Inclusive Design is an extension of the Regional Arts Project which took place in August mainly targeting artists and designers. For more information please read this document.
British Council Brazil: Seminar on Equal Opportunity and Diversity in the Workplace - gender, race/ethnicity and disability
BC Brazil organised a two day event, on the 18th and 19th of August 2008. Around one hundred guests attended and more than 50 people also took part via the internet. For more information on the event please read this document and/or visit this website.
BC New Zealand: Diversity Thru Music – A Gathering of Minds
BC New Zealand has received an acknowledgment from the Human Rights Commission for this event where over 100 political, artistic, religious and community leaders gathered in Auckland on 26 August to hear the “godfather” of British Hip Hop, Rodney P speak about his experience of making music for social change and share his views on making cities more creative and inclusive.
British Council Bulgaria: Media and Diversity Project
British Council Bulgaria launched a large scale public campaign as part of their Media and Diversity project, consisting of 5 short cartoon clips which aim to challenge public attitudes towards a range of diversity issues.
