THE SCIENCE OF LOVE
AS PART OF THE WIZARDS OF SCIENCE EVENT
What causes attraction and why do opposites attract?
Why do we fall in love?
What’s the connection between symmetry and classical beauty?
Why do we prefer the smell of strangers to the smell of close relatives?
Is there a 'magic potion' for eternal love?

Following on from our highly successful event The Science of Christmas, our FameLab team of talented young scientists and science communicators is back to talk about love and our deepest emotions.

The Science of Love is suitable for all ages and promises to provide all the answers to your questions about human relationships, the magic of true love and the seemingly 'supernatural powers' of people in love in an highly original and entertaining way!

The presenters were all finalists in the FameLab Competitions organised by the British Council in 2007 and 2008 in Greece, Israel, Croatia and the UK.

Details of our FameLab Competition 2009 will be announced soon - watch this space!

For more science and information about the presenters, visit www.openscience.gr and www.scico.gr.

The event will be in Greek. There will be simultaneous translation into Greek of presentations made in English.

This event is being organised as part of the Wizards of Science – 2nd Scientific Experiment Contest.
