Nicholas Harrigan, a physicist from the UK, will surprise and intrigue you with his presentation Researchers – today’s super heroes (scientists can't be destroyed by conventional weapons - How science can give you superpowers).

"Like many aspiring adults, I dream of webslinging, caped crusading, and simply wearing my underpants on top of my trousers. But after several fruitless radioactive insects bites, I finally found how to really get superpowers ... science! I'll show you how researchers are beginning to harness some of the greatest powers that comic books have to offer. From nature's clever use of inter-atomic forces for wall climbing, to materials that bend light until you're invisible, science is finally starting to fulfil the promises of the silver screen."
