Punk Science: the Albert Einstein Experience
Stand-up comedians in Athens in association with the Eugenides Foundation and the Greek Physics Association

Because science is often seen as highbrow and inaccessible, the innovative concept of this stand-up comedy is to explain science in a comic way. The Punk Science team will explain ALL of it in 45 minutes!

The Punk Science team comprises: Bradford Gross, Jon Milton, Ben Samuels and Dan Carter-Hope, all of whom have worked as 'explainers' for children at the interactive galleries at the British Museum in London.

All scientific concepts have been researched in advance. Getting the science right before adding the jokes is essential. Here are some examples: The Special Theory of Relativity is expressed in one sentence – moving things are squashed and their time slows down relative to someone watching them! The Punk Science team use a skateboard to show how time slows down the closer you move to the speed of light. You will have lots of opportunity to enjoy yourself!

The show will also explore Einstein the icon, what happened to his brain and why he never quite lived up to the promise of his early work, all in a funny way. Laughter is a learning tool for the Punk Scientists – and for you too!

Laugh as you learn.
