MEET DARWIN

A SERIES OF SCIENCE PRESENTATIONS ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF DARWIN’S THEORY OF EVOLUTION

Join us and a group of young scientists from the UK, Austria, Bulgaria, Israel, Serbia and Greece, winners in the country finals of our South East Europe FameLab Competition, in an event dedicated to Charles Darwin.

Our 'FameLabbers', all talented science communicators, will explore Darwin's legacy and the impact of evolutionary theory through a series of thought-provoking five-minute presentations aimed at a non-specialist audience:

The event will be held in English and admission is free.

Meet Darwin is being organised as part of the Euroscience Mediterranean Event 2009 (ESME 2009) in collaboration with the Greek Regional Section of Euroscience.

ESME 2009 will take place in Athens from 15 to 19 October 2009 and is organised by the Greek Regional Section of Euroscience, under the auspices of Euroscience, the European Association for the promotion of science and technology. It is the first in a series of biennial events, dedicated to scientific research and innovation, providing a platform for dialogue on science and technology, society and policy, while focusing on the specific characteristics and needs of the Mediterranean region.
