FameLab Competition 2010 Grand Final – Monday 17 May
Our talent Show ... for scientists!

Join us at this spectacular event and help decide the winner of the Audience Award by voting for your favourite 'FameLabber'!

THE FINALISTS
The eleven finalists chosen at the qualifying rounds that took place in Athens and Thessaloniki, equipped with new presentation and science communication skills gained at a two-day Masterclass, will make a presentation of up to five minutes on a contemporary science topic and prove ... that science is truly magic!

THE PRIZES
The competition is taking place over 10 countries around the world and the winner of each country final will win an all-expenses paid trip to the UK, where he/she will compete in FameLab International 2010 in June as part of the Cheltenham Science Festival.

Other prizes:

1st Prize: laptop; 2nd Prize: video camera; 3rd Prize: MP4 player.
The winner and the two runners-up will receive a series of popular science books, kindly offered by Avgo Books.
Audience Award: at the final the audience will vote for their own favourite finalist.

But there'll be new opportunities for all the finalists – they will be given a number of networking opportunities with other science communicators in Europe and have the chance to take part in British Council events.
