The Cambridge Young Learners English Tests are designed specially for children between the ages of seven and twelve.
The tests consist of three key levels of assessment:

| For children from the age of seven, after about 100 hours of English language learning. |
A typical candidate is aged eight to eleven and has completed 175 hours of English language learning. |
A typical candidate is aged nine to twelve and has completed 250 hours of English language learning. Flyers is equivalent to the level of the Cambridge Key English Test (KET). |
