Individual candidates

Candidates not entering through a school.

Where
The tests take place at neutral venues (e.g. state schools, hotels).

The test fee for all three levels (Starters, Movers and Flyers) will be confirmed.

Registration
Please follow the instructions below exactly to complete your registration successfully.

How to register

Pay the exam fee by direct deposit to the British Council account at Alpha Bank. You can do this at any Alpha Bank branch, via an ATM or via web banking through your own bank. You can do this at any Alpha Bank branch, via an ATM or via web banking through your own bank.

Please quote the following in the ‘Αιτιολογία' field on the deposit slip:

  • the name of the candidate (or the name of the school owner for block entries)
  • the title of the test (YLE)
  • the month the test will take place (e.g. November).

To complete your registration, please submit the completed Application Form (individual candidates) or Block Entry Form (Foreign Language Centres) along with the bank deposit slip to the British Council as follows:

  • Candidates and Foreign Language Centres in Macedonia, Thrace and Thessaly should send the above documents by registered mail to our Thessaloniki office (see below for contact details.

  • Candidates and Foreign Language Centres in Athens and all other provinces (including the islands) should send the above documents by registered mail or courier to our Athens office (see below for contact details).

Please note that we cannot accept cheques, postal orders, cash sent by post, or payment of fees at our offices.

If your child is an individual candidate, you can print out and fill in the Application Form for Individual Candidates:

If your child is a student at a Foreign Language Centre, the school will be responsible for their registration. If you are not sure whether your child has been registered, please ask someone at the Foreign Language Centre to check.
