We believe that students gain most from their English studies through a system of continuous assessment and monitoring.
We monitor and assess your child’s progress throughout the course, taking into account:
classwork |
homework |
internal tests. |
We also hold regular parents’ meetings, which offer you the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and find out how he/she is progressing.
We value parental involvement and believe that you as parents have a vital role to play in supporting the progress of your child.
You will be invited to parents’ meetings to discuss your child's progress and areas for development at the end of each semester.
You will also receive a written report on the progress of your child at the parents’ meetings. Please sign the mid-year report that you receive in January/February and return it to your child's teacher. The end-of-year report that you receive in June is for you to keep.
In addition to written reports, your child will be awarded a certificate for each course he/she successfully completes.
We will also contact you:
if your child is absent for four consecutive classes or is regularly absent |
if your child is finding it difficult to cope with the level of the class he/she has been placed in |
in cases of sickness |
in the event of disciplinary problems. |
If you’d like to talk to your child’s teacher at other times, you can do so by contacting the Registry and arranging an appointment with the teacher at a mutually convenient time.
