Assessment and progress

HOW DO WE ASSESS YOUR PROGRESS?
We believe that students gain most from their English studies through a system of continuous assessment and monitoring.

We monitor and assess your progress throughout the course, taking the following into account:

classwork
homework
internal tests.

CLASSWORK
Your teacher will award you a mark for classwork taking into account your speaking ability (pronunciation, fluency and accuracy), together with your level of participation and co-operation in classroom activities, as well as your overall progress.

HOMEWORK
Your homework mark is based on an average of a minimum of six written assignments, which are set and marked by your teacher.

INTERNAL TESTS
Our internal tests are specially written for each level and are based on the syllabus and material covered in class.

STUDENT GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING
You will be invited to attend a one-to-one guidance and counselling session with your teacher at the end of each semester. This gives you the opportunity to discuss your progress confidentially and privately and to agree on strategies for further improvement.
