Prints from the British Council Collection
David Hockney’s originality as a printmaker is the focus of this British Council exhibition featuring four major suites of prints created during the first two decades of his career.

Literature provided Hockney with source material for the outstanding graphic work exhibited, which includes A Rake's Progress, 14 Poems by C.P.Cavafy, Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm and The Blue Guitar.

Lecture by Marco Livingstone – Tuesday 13 September
The distinguished art historian and independent curator Marco Livingstone, considered to be one of the most significant David Hockney specialists, has been invited by the British Council to give a lecture entitled An Introduction to David Hockney. Marco will explore Hockney’s vast contribution to 20th century art. The lecture will take place at the Benaki Museum on Tuesday 13 September at 8 p.m. Admission free.
