Strange Screen VI – Audiovisual Festival of Experimental Video and Creative Documentary

Experimental cinema has undoubtedly made an invaluable contribution to the art of cinematography. Throughout its history it has constituted an open space for free experimental audiovisual expression for a large number of creative and 'daring' contemporary filmmakers and audiovisual artists.

Acknowledging the importance of the above, we are partnering once again with the Strange Screen Audiovisual Festival in an attempt to bring alternative methods of visual expression to a wider audience by showcasing works and ideas that diverge from the conventional forms of film and television and mainstream visual entertainment.

In this framework, British filmmaker and video artist Professor Nicholas Hamlyn, University College for the Creative Arts at Maidstone, Kent, UK, is visiting Thessaloniki to present his extensive work on video art as part of the festival’s programme of activities.
