| We proudly invite you to a screening and discussion of our Imagine Your Future Digital Stories, a project aimed at providing a platform for minority and migrant communities across South East Europe to share their vision with the wider public and increase understanding of minority and migrant lives in Europe.
Imagine Your Future uses digital storytelling to enable young migrants to reflect on their personal stories and develop an aspirational message for society. The project is running simultaneously in 8 countries in South East Europe (Armenia, Azerbaijan, FYROM, Georgia, Greece, Israel, Slovenia, Turkey) and the United Kingdom.
As part of the project, groups of young migrants living in Greece – among them a group of students from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, as well as a group of juvenile prisoners from Diavata prison (18-22 year-olds) – attended a series of digital storytelling workshops aimed at enabling them to create their own digital stories.
All participants are first or second generation migrants in Greece, a category of citizens rarely covered in the media. They represent a broad spectrum of society ranging from university students to young people with few educational opportunities and people who experience social exclusion. Through their digital stories we give the wider public an opportunity to share a part of their lives, learn about their difficulties and their dreams for the future.
The digital stories produced during the workshops are based on narration. They have been written, recorded and edited by the creators themselves and each lasts around 2 minutes. Our partner for is DigiTales, a digital storytelling project involving people making short films about their lives.
The screening will be followed by a discussion led by the project's contributors (details to be confirmed).

The project is running in Greece in collaboration with the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and ARSIS (NGO).
