Her style combines an eclectic mix of mime, dance, comedy, and puppetry, bound by a razor-sharp wit, which reaches out and touches an audience at all levels. On a whirlwind trip from cradle to grave Nola Rae paints an astonishing portrait of Mozart the clown. A blend of puppets, mime and buffoonery conjure up a whole cast of characters, so much so that it is hard to believe there is only one performer on stage. Mozart rampages through his extraordinary life, from child prodigy, manipulated by his father Leopold, to despairing genius, worn out and sinking into an early grave. It is a performance both playfully hilarious and deeply moving. The triumphant child never left the man, and the man could never triumph like the child.
