| AND THE WINNERS ARE ... |
Our innovative has now come to a close. We received 44 valid entries from all over Greece and the very high standard of the artwork submitted made the selection process particularly difficult. The panel of judges – Emma Hayley (Director SelfMadeHero), Aggelos Mastorakis (Chief Editor of Eleftherotypia's comics supplement ENNEA) and Giorgos Botsos (comics author and director of the Sketch, Comics and Cartoon programme at AKTO) – have now completed their assessment of the entries and selected the winner and the five runners-up. The first prize goes to: - for her excellent work on Romeo and Juliet (the balcony scene).
The next five best entrants awarded a distinction are: - for her work on the fight scene from Romeo and Juliet.
- for her work on the three witches scene from Macbeth.
- for her work on the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.
- for his work on the transformation of Bottom scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
- for his work on the transformation of Bottom scene from A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

In collaboration with Eleftherotypia's comics supplement and the UK-based book publisher SelfMadeHero, we are delighted to announce the launch of an innovative comics competition and invite you to illustrate a scene from a Shakespearean play in manga style, recreating it in a world that we can relate to today.
The competition is open to all permanent residents of Greece between the ages of 12 and 25 regardless of nationality.
To enter the competition, complete and return the entry form along with your manga illustrations for of the following scenes from Shakespeare plays:

Deadline for submission of entries now extended until 9 February 2009.
The panel of judges consists of , Director SelfMadeHero, , Chief Editor of Eleftherotypia's comics supplement ENNEA, and , comics author and director of the Sketch, Comics and Cartoon programme at AKTO.
The winner will win a two-day trip for two to London to visit the London MCM Expo, 23 & 24 May 2009. The winner's artwork and the artwork of the five (5) runners-up will be published in a special edition of Eleftherotypia's comics supplement ENNEA, which will be dedicated to the competition.
