Tracy Chevalier, author of the novel Girl with a Pearl Earring, which was inspired by the Vermeer painting and made into a hit film, was delighted to accept our invitation to Thessaloniki and Athens. Her visit will coincide with the Greek translation of The Lady and the Unicorn by Oceanida Publications.
At our evening of in , the author will present her work, her views on how her novel was transformed for the big screen and answer questions from the audience. A screening of the film Girl with a Pearl Earring will accompany the talk.
In , at our evening of , Tracy Chevalier will talk about her work, while Greek art historian Efi Andreadi will introduce us to the works of art which have provided the inspiration for Tracy’s novels.
