The winner will be selected by a three-member judging panel. The prize is publication of the winner's translation in the Greek edition of Granta magazine, plus working with the Greek edition of on translations to be published in each of the four forthcoming issues.
Congratulations to everyone who entered our competition, organised in co-operation with the Greek edition of Granta magazine.
The judging panel – (translator), (translator, literary critic) and (translator, teacher of translation studies) – has now completed the difficult task of selecting the winning translation and we are pleased to announce Sofia Avtzoglou as the winner (participant number 29).
The selection criteria were the faithfulness of the translation to the original, its accuracy and absence of errors, as well as the correct usage of the Greek language and the literary quality of the translation.
