The European Center for the Translation of Literature and the Human Sciences (EKEMEL), and the European Cultural Institutes - British Council, Goethe Institut, Institut Francais d'Athenes, Instituto Cervantes de Atenas, Instituto Italiano di Cultura di Atene - will be presenting the to the translators of the five best translations into Greek of British, German, French, Spanish and Italian literature at a ceremony that will take place at theItalian Institute of Athens(47 Patission Avenue).

The award is accompanied by the sum of €3,000 and one month's accomodation at the House of Literature in Lefkes, Paros.
Eligible entries were Greek translations of novels, short stories, poems and plays. The translation must have been published in Greece in 2007.
