LANDSCAPE AND ENVIRONMENT PROJECT

In a joint initiative with two other members of EUNIC Greece – the Goethe Institut and the Institut Français – and the Hellenic Ornithological Society, we are launching an innovative environmental project aimed at raising awareness and encouraging young people to become active in bringing about change by inviting them to design sustainable solutions based on the principles of ecology and the effects of climate change.

The Landscape and Environment Project is being run in partnership with the School of Architecture at the National Technical University of Athens and ECOWEEK.

The core element of the Landscape and Environment Project, which includes an additional four components, is an architectural competition in sustainable design. The competition is aimed at students of architecture and other related disciplines. Applicants are invited to work together in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral teams (comprised for example of architects, agriculturalists, environmentalists, geo-engineers, social scientists etc) and submit an innovative proposal for the design – or re-design – of the Park of Environmental Sensitisation 'Antonis Tritsis'.
