Ιt's our great pleasure to welcome Emeritus Professor of Greek Literature at Oxford University Dr. Oliver Taplin to Athens on the occasion of his being awarded an honorary doctorate by the Department of Theatre Studies at Athens University.
A lecture will be held at the university, where Professors Oliver Taplin and Platon Mavromoustakos, Chair of the Department of Theatre Studies at Athens University, will explore the theatrical phenomenon and the enrichment of the methods used to analyse Ancient Greek literature in response to performances of ancient drama in Greece and other countries in Europe.
