FRINGE: EDINBURGH IN THESSALONIKI

MINI-FRINGE FESTIVAL STRIKES AGAIN IN THESSALONIKI
In collaboration with Principal Club Theatre
6–9 April 2006

The first-ever mini-Fringe (Edinburgh in Thessaloniki) festival was held in Thessaloniki last April. Our first attempt to bring a taste of Edinburgh to Thessaloniki was very enthusiastically received by both audiences and the media and earned us rave reviews.

This has prompted us to continue with yet another round of mini-Fringe in Thessaloniki this April. This time we're back with an even more impressive line-up, which will leave you spellbound!

With hundreds of performances from last year’s Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival to choose from, we've come up with a unique 4-day programme, including 5 different performances to be held at various locations in Thessaloniki.

What's on this year?
Mini-Fringe 2 will feature Station House Opera’s production Roadmetal, Sweetbread (interactive multimedia non text-based physical theatre), Gamarjobat's hilarious pantomime A Shut Up Comedy from Japan, Peepolykus' new comedy production All in The Timing, and On the Scent, an experimental performance by Curious, and Craig Hill, Scotland’s brightest stand-up comedy star.

The festival will begin on Thursday 6 April and end on Sunday 9 April. The performances will take place at Principal Club Theatre, Sofouli Theatre, a private domestic location, as well as out and about in town.

This festival will bring a slice of Edinburgh to Thessaloniki and with it we aim to introduce young Greek audiences to the concept of ‘fringe’ and experimental physical theatre.  So stay tuned, we really hope you enjoy every minute of it!
