CULTURAL POLICIES AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT

We are pleased to support the conference on Cultural Policies and Local Government organised by the European Grouping of Twinned Cities and Regions in the Mediterranean Amphictyony in partnership with the Municipality of Chios and with the support of the University of the Aegean.

The conference aims to provide local governors, policy makers and cultural managers with the tools and techniques to develop and plan a long-term sustainable cultural policy, which will meet the needs and aspirations of local communities and at the same time create oppportunities for the economic, touristic, cultural and social development of modern and vibrant cities and regions.

Prominent scientists and experts in the field of cultural management and heritage from Greece and other European countries will take part in the conference and contribute to the following thematic sessions:

Cultural Politics
Financial Planning and Tourism
Cultural Heritage Management
Contemporary Cultural Production
Cultural Politics and Education
Best Cultural Policies and Practices of Local Government
