CREATIVE INDUSTRIES: A DRIVER OF GROWTH, EMPLOYMENT AND INNOVATION

We are delighted to support the European conference exploring the role of creative industries as a driver of growth, employment and innovation, organised by the non-governmental organisation Creativity for growth – C4G, with the support of the European Parliament, the European Commission and the British Council.

The conference, which is part of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation 2009, aims to raise awareness of the growing importance of the creative economy and of the pivotal role of the creative industries in economic and social development.

The conference is divided into 3 discussion sessions:

Creative Economy: a driver of growth, employment and innovation
Creative Industries and Creative Regions
Creative Industries: Interacting with Enabling Technologies

SPEAKERS
Representatives from ministries, non-governmental agencies, embassies, cultural foundations, regional and local authorities, universities and the creative industries will participate in the conference as speakers. Among them, three distinguished UK participants will be keynote speakers in the panel discussions:
