Our long-standing collaboration with Eleftherotypia newspaper continues this autumn with our participation in the .
This year's Panorama Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Art of Cinema goes to Ken Loach, one of the UK’s foremost filmmakers. His work has earned international acclaim and numerous awards, including the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 for The Wind that Shakes the Barley.
The Panorama also includes a short tribute to Loach with screenings of his films Riff Raff, Looks and Smiles, Family Life and his latest film It’s a Free World, which will close the festival.
Col Spector, one of the UK’s most promising new directors, has accepted our invitation to the Panorama Festival. His film Someone Else premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival in August 2006.
Spector will lead a discussion designed to help students of cinematography and young professionals better understand the process of filmmaking.
