THESSALONIKI OFFICE CHANGES

Our office in Thessaloniki has moved to new premises and launched new service delivery methods. We continue to offer our full range of services in Thessaloniki but in different ways.

The first day of operation in our new Thessaloniki office was Wednesday 24 September 2008.
The new office isn't open to the general public, with the exception of Student Support Services and Medical Consultancy Services customers, who have access by appointment only.

We have introduced an all-Greece call centre which you can contact for information, to make enquiries and suggestions, as well as to book appointments. The new numbers are:

  • 801 500 3692 (from landines in Greece only)
  • 210 369 2333
We have also introduced an all-Greece e-mail address for enquiries, which we will answer within 24 hours. The e-mail address is: customerservices@britishcouncil.gr

WHAT ARE THE CHANGES?

Education Services
You can find general information about studying in the UK on the Education section of our website and also by attending one of our Free Education Information Sessions, which are held weekly at the Thessaloniki History Centre (Ippodromiou Square), and also all over Greece in co-operation with local educational institutions.
If you want help finding the right course and applying for a place at an educational institution or English language school in the UK, our experienced education counsellors can provide you with individual guidance. Visit our Student Support Services page to find out how we can help you, and call us on one of our new telephone numbers to book an appointment.
If you're interested in pursuing medical specialty or a salaried post as a doctor, dentist, nurse or midwife in the UK, visit our Medical Consultancy Services page to find out how we can help you, and call us on one of our new telephone numbers to book an appointment.

Document Translation and Certification Services
Our new Thessaloniki office isn't open to the public for submission/receipt of documents or payment of fees.
You can now submit/receive your documents by courier (special courier rates apply) or registered mail only, and pay the translation/certification fees by courier (special courier rates apply) or by bank deposit only.
This will save you valuable time and allow you to complete the transaction at your convenience from the comfort of your home or place of work.
Find out more about the new ways we're delivering our Document Translation and Certification Services.

Exams Services
Our offices in Athens and Thessaloniki are no longer open to the public for exams registration or information.
We now offer online registration, online timetables and online results for the Cambridge ESOL KET, PET, FCE, CAE and CPE exams, and the option of sending IELTS applications to us by courier free of charge.
For detailed information about IELTS, University of Cambridge ESOL exams, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), and professional and university exams, including step-by-step instructions as to how to register and pay exam fees, visit the Exams section of our website.

WHY HAVE WE MADE THESE CHANGES?

We are re-shaping our services with the emphasis on making our services more convenient for our customers.
We are making increasing use of technology to become more efficient and customer friendly.
We are shifting our focus from where we are located to where our customers are located. Although access to our new office will be by appointment only, this doesn't limit your contact with us. We are increasing the number of free education sessions and offer a variety of communication channels to ensure that our services are convenient for you – our customers' needs sit at the heart of these changes.
