Participative Democracy

Participative Democracy as a theme is built around democratic practices and consultation. Our work in Participative Democracy promotes the understanding of democracy and democratic values through dialogue. It creates opportunity to enhance the understanding of changes within the UK, as well as helping new democracies who are struggling to build a culture that promotes democracy. We emphasise participation and consultation creating opportunities for citizens to engage.

We deal with a range of individuals and organisations working in the areas of civil society, development of democratic institutions, democratic audit, social inclusion, media both in the UK and internationally. We work to promote understanding of the constitutional changes and devolution within Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales and share experiece and expertise in law, governance, equality and human rights.
