Nina Lemmens joined the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in 1997, and since then has held numerous positions including Director of the DAAD London office from 2000-06 and Director for the Asia-Pacific Department in the Bonn head office from 2006-09. In July 2009, she took over the Directorship of the newly formed Department for Internationalisation and Communication in DAAD in Bonn. Priot to that she worked as a personal assistant for an MP in the German Parliament for one year and as a freelance journalist for ten years. Nina Lemmens holds a PhD.
