Nicole la Hausse de Lalouvière has over 25 years experience in education, predominantly in ELT and vocational education.  In this respect she has held positions as a teacher, teacher trainer, materials writer, head of school, inspector, examiner and adviser in the public and private sectors in the UK, South Africa, Spain and France.  She has undertaken short-term consultancies in a wide variety of countries such as Libya, China, Brazil, Mauritius and Thailand, often working with government.  Since 2001 Nicole has been employed by the British Council, first as Senior Advisor in vocational education, then as Director Learning and Training in Beijing, and most recently as Director Azerbaijan.
