Dr Herbert Grieshop is Managing Director for the Center of International Cooperation at Freie Universität Berlin, a position he has held since January 2009. His responsibilities include the development of an internationalisation strategy, the management of the university’s offices abroad and the development of new international research cooperation and strategic partnerships. Dr Grieshop’s previously worked for the British Council in Germany as Head of their Education & Science team for five years. Prior to that, he worked as a Cultural Affairs Specialist for the US Embassy in Berlin and as manager for cultural events at the Berliner Festspiele, the largest organiser of cultural events in Germany’s capital. From 1994 to 2000 Dr Grieshop was a lecturer in the German department of University College London.
