Professor Albert M Abane is Dean of the Faculty of Social Science at University of Cape Coast (UCC). Prior to this role he was Head of the Department of Geography and Tourism at UCC, where he had previously worked as a Senior Lecturer and Professor. He has also held the position of Director of the Consultancy Unit at UCC.
Professor Albane studied a Masters degree and a Diploma in Education at University of Cape Coast before completing his PhD at University of Southampton. His publications include Doing Children’s Geographies: Methodological issues in research with young people in 2008 and Increasing children’s participation in African transport planning: Reflections on methodological issues in a child-centred research project in 2009.
