Dr Hasnah is Associate Vice President for Higher Education in Qatar Foundation and is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Qatar University. He represents the Qatar Foundation in the Joint Advisory Boards of Texas A&M University (TAMU-Q), Carnegie Mellon University (CMU-Q), and Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU-Q) and is a member of the Steering Committee of Qatar National Research Fund, Vice Chair of the Financial Aid and Scholarship Committee and also chairs Qatar Foundation’s Study Abroad Education City Committee.
As a member of the Academic Team at Qatar Foundation, Doctor Hasnah has been involved in developing the Education City Model and has fostered partner relationships with world class educational and research institutions. He has been a member of the Education Committee since 2002, and participated the planning and development of Education City. He previously served as the Director of Academic Affairs in the Education Division from 2005 to 2007 and was the Head of Computer Science & Engineering Department, Qatar University from 2003 to 2006.
