Introduction to global school partnerships
Workshop  for schools new to global school partnerships

Why does your school want a partnership? Are our perceptions of each other fair and balanced? How can a global dimension enhance learning?

This is an introductory workshop covering the principles, educational benefits, practicalities and viability of global school partnerships.  A local school with an established Global School Partnership will also tell you about their experience. The workshop is for school staff who are interested in establishing, or who have just initiated, a Global School Partnership.

The workshop explores:

  • motives for partnerships
  • partners’ perceptions of each other and how this affects learning
  • a global dimension curriculum
  • partner-finding
  • preparing for partnership

The introductory workshop has also been adapted as an online course for workshop participants wishing to explore themes in more depth and for staff unable to attend a face-to-face workshop session.
