Education and development in global school partnerships

What contribution can education make to development? How can education be made fairer for all? How can the quality of education be improved through Global School Partnerships?

This one-day workshop introduces theory and practice in the field of education and development and the key priorities which have resulted.  The workshop is especially beneficial for school staff who have visited their partner schools.

The workshop explores:

  • the role of education in development
  • the global goals for education
  • how issues of access, equality and quality affect education in the UK and Southern countries
  • a range of educational contexts in African, Asian, Latin American and Caribbean countries
