CIPS is an international organisation, based in the UK, serving the purchasing and supply profession, providing a wide range of services for the benefit of members and the wider business community.
To join any of the qualification programmes offered by CIPS you must first register as a member. A registration fee is payable together with an annual subscription to maintain your registration and to give you access to the examinations.
1. Download and print CIPS membership application form. Complete the attached membership application form. Please see the minimum entry requirements you must meet before you apply. You application form must be accompanied by all the relevant documents.
You may already have gained qualifications and experience which are included in the CIPS programme and which may, therefore, be acceptable for exemption purposes. Please visit the CIPS website for more information about exemptions and how you can apply to be granted exemption.
2. Call any of our offices for our exchange rate so you know how much to pay in cedis. Attach a bank draft of the cedi equivalent of the fee made payable to 'British Council' to your application and submit it to our Accra or Kumasi office.
3. Submit your application form to our office in Accra or Kumasi together with the following: a. Proof of results (photocopies of results slips, certificates etc.) or evidence of work experience Visit the CIPS website for details. b. A bank draft of the cedi equivalent of the membership fee made payable to 'British Council'.
Early bird fees for entries and payments received before 17 Feb 2008 - £43.5 or GHC 87.00. Entries after 17th Feb but before 17th March 2008 - £48 or GHC 96.00. Entries received after 17th March but before 4th April 2008 - £96 or GHC 192.00. New membership: - £69 or GHC 138.
Your completed CIPS membership form and the fees will be forwarded to CIPS on your behalf. CIPS will process your membership form and contact you to confirm your membership and membership number. Once you have become a CIPS member, you can register for the appropriate CIPS exams.
