Nikoloz Gogochuri works for a broadcasting company in Tbilisi, and recently took and passed the CAE (advanced) exam. In a letter to the Exams Manager, Nick explains why he took the CAE:

I would like to thank you for giving me an opportunity to take the test in Certificate of Advanced English.

CAE is acknowledged all over the world as one of the most respected and difficult tests in English. Learning English has always been a challenge for me. Preparing for the CAE was also very challenging and extremely interesting. I decided to pass CAE for professional purpose as well as my personal reasons.

Let me introduce myself. My name is Nikoloz Gogochuri and I work at one of the biggest broadcasting companies in Tbilisi. My work often involves communication with foreign companies, which requires a good knowledge of English. I often deal with translating official documents and negotiating with foreign customers. My everyday work also requires good verbal communication skills in English. All those aspects are covered in CAE preparation course, which made me decide to take the exam.

All I can say after passing the test is that my English knowledge has improved. Preparation course was very interesting and full of useful information. I gained experience in writing official documents as well as informal letters. This experience is very important in my everyday life.

I would like to thank you once again for expanding the horizons of my English knowledge.
