Transatlantic Network 2020 - TN2020
Connecting Young Leaders from Europe and North America

What is TN2020?

The Transatlantic Network 2020 is a network for action which brings together young influencers from business, civil society, the arts, science and media to revitalise transatlantic and global links for the future. Importantly, TN2020 reflects the changing demographics, ideologies and dynamics of Europe and North America.

Who are TN2020 members?

The network currently features 150 members from 24 different countries across the two continents. Incredibly successful and networked in their own right, they recognise the value of multilateral collaboration and are eager to work globally to create positive social change.

A diverse, unique, multilateral network, TN2020 members include: a Member of the Welsh Parliament, a French-American documentary filmmaker, an LA-based blogger who reaches millions via her web show Epic-FU, the Head of Micro Insurance at Allianz SE, and the Editor at Large of WIRED UK.

TN2020 members are selected on an annual basis via an open application process.

What are The TN2020 Target Areas?

Current members are working on initiatives falling under three focus areas.  They are:

•Sustainable Living

•Building Resilience in Communities

•Creativity & Innovation

Partner support will allow TN2020 initiatives to be fully realised.

TN2020 Summit

The annual flagship event of TN2020, the 2010 summit was held in Chicago from June 20-25. Exploring the theme of ‘using technology for social change,’ the summit featured discussion and support from individuals including:

Sir Richard Branson, CEO Virgin Group

UK Foreign Secretary William Hague

Congressman Bobby Rush (D-1st/IL)

Eboo Patel, Member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighbourhood Partnerships and Founder and President of Interfaith Youth Core

Working with Sarah Evans and Sevans Strategy, TN2020 engaged over 750,000 people via Twitter, Facebook and YouTube during the summit.  Previous summits have been held in Berlin, Belfast and Dublin.
