KEY ENGLISH TEST (KET)
UK Exams: think beyond

An elementary exam, at Council of Europe waystage level A2 which can be achieved after approximately 180–200 hours of learning and is about halfway to PET. It tests most basic communication needed in everyday situations and is suitable for students aged thirteen and over.

Exam papers contents and dates:

Reading and Writing: one hour and 10 minutes
Listening: approximately 30 minutes
Speaking: 8 to 10 minutes per pair of candidates

The speaking and writing tests may be on different dates. You will receive a schedule with your speaking appointment one month before the examination.
