UK Exams : Think beyond
A series of three Cambridge exams (BEC Preliminary, BEC Vantage and BEC Higher) designed to test the English used in business. They are suitable for adults (aged 16 and over) who are either preparing for a  career in business or already working.

Exam papers:

BEC Preliminary

Reading and writing: 1 hour and 30 minutes
Listening: approximately 40 minutes
Speaking: 12 minutes

BEC Vantage
Reading: 1 hour
Writing: 45 minutes
Listening: approximately 40 minutes
Speaking: 14 minutes

BEC Higher
Reading: 1 hour
Writing: 1 hour and 10minutes

Speaking test dates: The speaking and writing tests may be on different dates - please consult the application form for more information. You will receive a schedule approximately 10 days before the examination.

Location: British Council Paris or easily accessible test venue.

To register download the application form and send it to the British Council before the deadline.


January 2012 session (computer-based version of the exam)

Please note: the December session of the BEC is the computer-based version. The exam takes place in a computer room. You will be seated in front of a computer equipped with headphones and a French keyboard (AZERTY), and a supervisor will be present to guide and help you if needed.
