'Gilles de Robien, French Minister of Education and Jim Knight, Minister of State for Schools and 14-19 Learners, signing the Anglo-French Education Agreement on 9 June 2006'
Signed for the first time in February 2003 in Le Touquet, the Anglo-French Education Agreement has been renewed for four years to increase the educational collaboration between England and France and to support the education priorities of both the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) and the French Ministry of Education and Research (MENESR)
We work to broaden the international experience of young people and their teachers in schools and institutions in France and in the UK. This helps to foster mutual understanding between our two countries.
We do this through promoting partnerships between schools in France and by providing professional development opportunities and resources for teachers.
School partnerships are an ideal way of bringing an international dimension into the classroom. Find out more about how to start and develop an exciting partnership with a UK school.
