This major international festival devoted to women film-makers features a major focus on British cinema with films directed by 42 women film-makers from the UK being screened during the event and around a dozen women directors from the UK attending to present their films to audiences with debates after the screenings and a round table discussion on the state of women in film in the UK today on 29 March at 17h00.
The festival has competitive sections for feature fiction films, documentary films and short films. This year’s programme also includes a special self-portrait of actress Charlotte Rampling and a tribute to Indian film director Mira Nair.
