The first ‘Salon du Cinéma’ will take place at the Porte de Versailles in Paris from 12 to 14 January 2007. Its aim is to give the general public closer access in an entertaining way to the technical aspects of making feature films.

During this three day event all sorts of aspects of putting a film together will be illustrated including casting, special effects, sound, and the training of animals as film actors.

A number of workshops will be available for children over the age of  7.

Many French actors and directors will be participating in events and Peter Lord, of Aardman Animations, well known producers of the Wallace et Gromit films, will give a presentation of the work behind Aardman's successful animated films on Friday 12 January at 15h30.
