English for Europe

We are the UK's official organisation overseas for English language training. We are trusted by institutions, governments, corporate clients and students throughout Europe and the world.

At our centre in Brussels we run English language communication skills and business skills courses to help Europeans use English, whether they work in the EU Institutions or in companies. We are currently involved in delivering a programme of 'English for the EU Presidency' to help prepare the Slovenian government with the tasks of running Council working group meetings and writing position papers for their presidency in 2008.

This training is designed to help counsellors, committee members, administrators assistants with the communication skills they need in English.

  • EU terminology - EU directives, treaties, organisations
  • Meetings and negotiations - developing standpoints and proposals
  • Presentations and discussions on EU matters
  • Writing reports of meetings, position papers, press releases

We are able to tailor this training to suit your needs. We offer four types of training programmes:

Programme I English for Council Working Group Meetings (3 days)
Programme II Advanced level writing and drafting of documents (2 days)
Programme III English for Administrative staff (2 days)
Programme IV Effective Reading skills (1 day)
