Visits and missions

Whenever you are interested in visiting a country to enhance your knowledge of the education market, why not contact us and find out how we can assist you with your arrangements. We have education marketing staff in all of the larger education markets and the Education UK Partnership provides resources for education marketing staff in 36 offices across 18 countries in which it operates.

Please bear in mind that the British Council operates in 109 countries and not all of our offices have staff assigned to education marketing activities.

Support and advice
All UK education providers that meet our eligibility criteria can obtain basic information from the British Council to help with arranging a country visit. Partnership members receive this service as a priority, and non-members are charged a fee.

Programme management
In addition to providing basic advice, the Education UK Partnership model provides the resources to offer event and mission management services for UK education providers. Simply provide one of our Partnership offices with a detailed brief of your anticipated visit, and the local office will arrange and manage your visit for you. Many of our offices provide good spaces for promotional presentations. If you would like to increase the awareness of your institution to potential students, contact one of our staff to find out how we can help. We will research our local contacts to meet your requests, book suitable venues and arrange the programme logistics, including the booking of accommodation, transport and interpreters, if necessary.

Partnership members receive this service as a priority.

Additional Partnership member services
In addition to general visits, the Partnership can also arrange student interviews, and alumni events for members. The student interview service allows members of the Partnership an opportunity to interview potential students in-country (this service excludes filtering). We also offer alumni and parent events, where we will manage and organise these events for you, including logistical arrangements and promotion of the event.

Additional country Partnership member services
Members of country Partnerships have the opportunity to use our facilities while they are in-country, including desk space, Internet access, telephone, fax and photocopiers. We also offer a variety of resource-intensive services, such as student interviews, including filtering, graduation and award ceremonies, press events and pre-departure briefings. Please note that due to the size of some of our country offices, British Council premises may not be appropriate for some events.
