Display of prospectuses in British Council offices to be discontinued

From end September 2009, we are discontinuing the service of displaying institution prospectuses (also known as 'bulk freight') in British Council offices. This is because our research has shown that fewer students are coming to British Council offices to view prospectuses and the service is not providing a good return on investment.

We therefore request that you do not forward any prospectuses to our offices. Thank you for your understanding.

We are currently looking for an alternative way to promote member institutions more effectively. To this end, we have set up a focus group involving members and British Council staff and are now developing proposals which will be put forward to the Board in October 2009. If you have any questions or you would like to contribute your ideas, please contact educationuk.partnership@britishcouncil.org.
