Partnership Operating Board elections

The annual Operating Board elections are an opportunity for members of the Partnership to choose representatives to join the Operating Board. Each Board member has a responsibility to represent various sectors within the Partnership, according to the terms of reference.

The election process for 2009 has now come to an end. We are pleased to announce that the following people have been appointed or re-elected to the Operating Board:

Higher eduction sector, England and Northern Ireland:
John Quirk, University of Central Lancashire (replacing Richard Harvey, University of East Anglia)
Higher eduction sector, England and Northern Ireland:
Jo Purves, Northumbria University (re-elected)
Further education sector:
Craig Wilson, Stevenson College Edinburgh (re-elected)

Their term of office will run from 1 January 2010 until 31 December 2011.

The higher education sector, Wales election produced a tied result and the Board are currently deliberating on an appropriate outcome.

The dates of forthcoming Operating board meetings are available.

The Board elections use the single transferable vote process and are carried out in accordance with information supplied from the Electoral Reform Society of Great Britain.
