Pearson

Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a new computer-based test of international academic English. The new test will provide an accurate real-life measure of a test-taker’s ability to deal with academic-level English in communication.

Focusing on the needs of both score users and test takers, PTE uses a variety of new technologies to provide more detailed information and to enhance the testing experience. PTE offers a number of advantages for institutions, including robust alignment of scores with the Common European Framework, fast results (five days), more student score data, a test-taker speech sample and confidence around student identity.

With PTE, institutions can be confident that they are getting accurate, detailed and robust information about students’ language ability on which to base admissions decisions. Extremely positive feedback has been received from UK universities and colleges.

For more information, visit the Pearson Test of English website and join us at our conference stand.
