The sixth country partnership meeting was held on 18 September in British Council Spring Gardens office in London. A total of 38 institutional representatives attended. We invited David Marsden, Director, UK & Ireland for Hong Kong Trade Development Council, to set the Hong Kong socio-economic scene. This was followed by a market update by Katherine Forestier, Director Education Services of British Council Hong Kong. She spoke on the latest trends and issues in international student recruitment, and provided updates on Hong Kong education reform. She also introduced a recently completed market report on the health-related education sector. The full report can be downloaded here. Juhanie Cheung, Education Manager (Transnational Education) reported the highlights of market research study on postgraduate TNE market in Hong Kong. A review and update of EUKP and marketing work was given by Terry Chau, Education Partnerships Manager.

The Hong Kong Partnership meeting, as chaired by John Quirk, International Recruitment and Relations Office of University of Liverpool, was held at the British Council on 25 January 2008. A total of 65 institution representatives attended the meeting. We have invited 3 external speakers to speak on various topics including implementation of Hong Kong's education reforms and its implications and a study on the equivalences for Hong Kong and UK public examinations by UK NARIC.

Prior to the Education UK Exhibition, the third Hong Kong country partnership meeting was held at the British Council on 9 February 2007. A total of 43 institution representatives attended the meeting and 2 external speakers were invited to speak on various topics.
