Update 20 October 2009: Although the deadline for applications has now passed, expressions of interest to participate in this event are still welcome.
This year, we are piloting a new international exhibition also open to non-UK education providers which will replace the 'UK-only' format of previous years. At present, we anticipate that American and Australian institutions will attend the event and there is strong interest from Malaysian, South African and Canadian institutions. The event will be organised predominantly by a consortium of schools which British Council Uganda have worked with since 2007 after a period of close consultation with British Council Uganda. The British Council will continue to maintain its current relationship with institutions working in Uganda and provide a continued level of support and assistance. There will be no changes to the current web-based application process that institutions currently use. All UK institutions will be located within a UK pavilion which will be Education UK branded.
This exhibition has been organised so that it is possible for institutions to attend the following events also taking place in Africa:

Participation fee for all other institutions |
Maximum number of participants |
| 8 to 9 February 2010 |

The participation fee includes:
- venue hire, security, cleaning
- welcome and registration zone, Internet for on-line registration and staffing to support the registration process
- British Council information zone
- hotel reservation service for exhibitors – British Council Uganda will negotiate discounted rates in local hotels where possible
- local transportation (as required for exhibitors, prospectuses, British Council staff and materials, etc.) – a travel agent will be recommended for domestic travel
- signage
- refreshments
- marketing campaign
- market briefing
- seminar and meeting areas.
Stand sharing is available at a premium of 20 per cent on the cost of participation.
Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.
The participation fees stated above incorporate a 'credit crunch' contingency and are the maximum that participants will be charged. If this additional contingency is not called upon, participants will be invoiced for less than the maximum fee.
It is strongly advised that institutions send representatives from the UK to staff their stands rather than using local agents only, since students expect to meet UK representatives and not agents, who they can meet anytime.
