The participation fee includes:
- venue hire
- stand with fascia board, table, four chairs and lights
- stand size in Taipei: 2.5 metres high, 2 metres wide, 3 metres long for the main exhibition; 2.5 metres high, 2 metres wide, 2 metres long for the School Zone
- stand size at all other venues: 2.5 metres high, 2 metres wide, 2 metres long
- PR campaign: press conference, advertising on web, radio, newspapers, magazines, street banners, flyers, outdoor and other
- marketing briefing and reception
- discounted hotel rates and local transport (free coach service provided from Taipei to Taichung and Taichung to Kaohsiung).
Stand sharing is available at a premium of 20 per cent on the cost of participation for Taiwan subscribers and fifty per cent for all other institutions.
Please note that the participation fee does not include international or domestic travel, accommodation, subsistence or freight, except where stated.
Organised by the Ministry of Education, the British Council, the Foundation for International Co-operation in Higher Education of Taiwan (FICHET) and Tunghai University, this conference will take place on Tuesday 4 November 2008 at Tunghai University in Taichung
The key theme of the conference is effective collaborations and the purpose is to:
- build up mutual understanding on current internationalisation agenda between HE institutions in Taiwan and the UK
- share best practice and experiences in institutional links
- facilitate direct dialogue and communication between HE institutions in Taiwan and the UK.
The format of the conference will be:
- plenaries: keynote speeches by UK and Taiwan VIP speakers
- parallel sessions: sessions on the key conference theme by UK and Taiwan HE institutions
- individual appointments: providing opportunities for UK HE institution representatives to have direct dialogue with Taiwan HE institution representatives
- mini education exhibition by Taiwan HE institutions.
